Relieving wound pain whilst accelerating healing1
Raponic™ technology is our unique wound friendly, broad spectrum anti-microbial formulation based on PHMB (polyhexamethylene biguanide).
Its rapid and sustained antimicrobial action specifically designed to mimic naturally occurring antimicrobial peptides, targets microorganisms that are known to cause wound infections². With a good safety profile, no known resistance supporting antimicrobial stewardship³. ActivHeal® PHMB Foam Range with Raponic™ Technology reduces wound pain, not only at dressing change but during wound healing.

Clinically proven to reduce wound pain.
In a 186-patient clinical evaluation, ActivHeal® PHMB Foam Dressings delivered impressive results — significantly reducing wound pain (p<0.0001).
Wound pain often stems from infection. When bacteria thrive, the body’s immune response kicks in — white blood cells release enzymes and free radicals, damaging tissue and fuelling pain.
In this study, pain was tracked using a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) from 0 (no pain) to 10 (worst pain). The average score plummeted from 4.6 at the start to 0.6 at the end — a drop of –4.0 (p<0.0001).
